CALL FOR PAPERS
Forth is a simple postfix programming system which is able to provide high integrity software through intensive re-use of components and ease of interactive testing. Forth prioritises extensibility over language features in a way that allows programmers to provide simple but powerful abstractions for specific problem domains. Its applicability ranges over interactive programming of small microcontrollers, powerful visual development environments, the programming of distributed
agents communicating via open protocols, and system configuration using the IEEE Standard "Open Boot" which is used to provide "plug and play" style features on Power PC's, Sun Workstations and PowerMacs.
EuroForth welcomes articles on:
Forth applications and language extensions.
Open protocols and standards, including TCP/IP, HTTP, XML...
Virtual machine application and design.
Stack based architectures.
System configuration and Open Boot.
Other topics likely to be of interest to an extensible language community.
SUBMISSIONS
Papers should normally be no more than 8 pages in length. Longer papers should be submitted in precis with the full paper being submitted to the Journal of Forth Application and Research.
